Welcome to Confirmation Prep @ Our Lady of Loretto!
Registration for the 2022-23 school year is OPEN!
You can find a letter from our program director and this year's registration form under "Forms and Docs" on the left side of this page.
We had a very successful return to in-person learning over the 2021-22 school year, and now are looking forward bringing our programs back into full swing this Fall! Please register your teens early - it really helps us to ensure we have enough volunteers and resources for the school year. Click on the "registration page" tab on the left to print out your forms.
A little bit about our Confirmation Program...
At Our Lady of Loretto, preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a three-year process beginning in the seventh grade. Under usual circumstances, candidates are confirmed at the end of their ninth grade year. Throughout these three years, students focus on three main questions:
Who is Jesus?
What has he done for me?
What am I supposed to do about it?
As we uncover the answers to these questions, our seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students truly begin to encounter Christ and understand the depth of God's love for them. What a tremendous gift He offers to them through this Sacrament!
The 2022-23 Confirmation Team is looking forward to a wonderful year in which we will all grow in our faith together with our Confirmation candidates. Please keep us all in your prayers as we travel this road together.
Follow the links in the sidebar to view class calendars (to be posted later in the Summer) and other information pertaining to your particular year of study. If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call or email! I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and answer any questions you may have about our program.
PARENT RETREAT!
We are excited to welcome Steve Angrisano back to OLL this year for our annual parent retreat!
Instead of asking the parents of our Sacramental Year students (those children & teens preparing for First Communion & Confirmation, as well as those preparing for Baptism through our RCIA process) to come out for evening parent sessions, we are condensing it all into one half-day retreat. The retreat is mandatory for all parents of sacramental year students.
Join us on December 3 from 10:00am-3pm in the OLL Hall for a luncheon workshop with our guest presenter, Steve Angrisano! Steve Angrisano is undoubtedly one of the most effective and versatile ministry leaders in the Church today. Young and old alike embrace the passionate message of faith, hope and love woven throughout his music and storytelling. Always rooted in a spirit of humility and faithfulness, Steve’s easy, honest style of ministry is born from who he is: a committed witness to the life and love of Jesus Christ.
This Saturday event for parents will be followed by a two night Advent Mission for the entire parish! The mission will take place on Sunday and Monday evenings, at 6pm in the church. We guarantee you will want to come back for round two!
We look forward to having you with us!
